Cobblers boss Keith Curle says he is more than happy to bide his time in the January transfer window.
“We have one or two things in the pipeline but I’m reluctant to identify any targets publicly,” he said.
“I’ve had a situation before when I’ve been after a player and because the media revealed thatn someone else, who didn’t even know that player was even available, then came in for them.
“I’ve got good contacts in the game and if I’m looking at somebody there is a reason why.
“I’ve got a good understanding of what’s out there and what we need and what’s required.
“The longer you go in the window some players you thought weren’t available suddenly become available.
“We’re putting our house in order, we are making sure we are ready to move as the window moves along and we won’t be rushing into anything.”
