KEITH CURLE DEMANDING A FIGHTING MENTALITY

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Tuesday's trip to Tranmere Rovers

Northampton Town face two tough away games this week, at Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night and Lincoln City on Saturday, but Keith Curle says his squad are ready for the challenge and he has called on them to show a fighting mentality.

“We’ve got two great challenges this week,” he said.

“Every game is an opportunity, I expect to see two teams fighting tooth and nail on Tuesday night and we need to put in a performance.

“We need to show a real fighting mentality and get those points.

“Our mentality can’t change, we need to keep the ball out of our net and we need to score goals.

“We are addressing the mentality in the changing room and it’s a little bit of back to basics in re-stressing the roles and responsibilities of individuals.

“I’m not content with our league position because I want to be top but we were where we were when I took over, we had to change the mentality of the changing room which can’t happen overnight and and it’s about building.

“I fully understand where the club needs to be and wants to be and I’ve got a plan on how to get us there."
