KEITH CURLE EXPECTS ANOTHER TOUGH TEST AS COBBLERS LOOK TO KEEP BUILDING

The Cobblers boss ahead of Saturday's trip to Crewe

Cobblers boss Keith Curle says that this weekend's opponents Crewe can beat anyone in League 2 on their day - but they are not alone in that.

“We always respect the opposition but we put a demand on ourselves to go out and put in a performance that we are happy with,” he said.

“Crewe on their day can beat anybody but likewise they can also get beaten by anybody in this division.

“That’s testament to the division, you can never relax and you are never going to get an easy game.

“The line between winning and losing is very marginal and I go back to the Colchester game where on another day that could have finished 4-4 or we could have won 4-2.

“We know that Crewe can be dangerous on their day but if we perform we can cause them lots of problems in open play and from set pieces.

“Home or away I want to win games and that’s the attitude we have.

“At my two previous clubs Carlisle and Notts County we went on long unbeaten runs away from home and I like my teams to be difficult to beat but at the same time I want us to play open and expansive football.”
