Matt Warburton and David Cornell visited Year 10 students at Wootton Park School in Northampton on Friday to talk about well being.
Topics included diet, exercise, mental and physical fitness and resilience strategies.
The players talked about how these relate to their job, for example, how to cope with losses, injury, and being released from teams.
During PSHE lessons, students at the school have been learning about mindfulness, friendships, social media, kindness, anti-bullying and meaningful acts.
The players also took part in a question and answer session.
The session was hosted by Anna Letts from Northampton Town Football Club’s Community Trust.
She is a qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA) instructor (via MH England) running courses with schools, charities, partners and sponsors.
The Trust runs various projects using football to engage people to talk about mental health. Partners include MIND, Northamptonshire Sport and the University of Northampton.
