Midfielder Alan McCormack is fit to face Forest Green Rovers on Saturday after coming off against Exeter at the weekend.
“Alan went for a scan and everything has come back clear which is excellent news,” said boss Keith Curle.
“I think the message is now coming through to Alan that, however much he wants too, he can’t always play ninety minutes in every game.
“He had a feeling that something wasn’t quite right on Saturday and he did the right thing by coming straight off.
“Seven or eight weeks ago Alan would have stayed on and tried to get through the game and probably done himself a little bit of damage. He is too valuable to us to risk that. I would rather he missed parts of games rather than be missing for a chunk of matches at a time.
“He’s listened to the advice that has been given to him and knows if he feels anything abnormal he should stop straight away and let the medical team here assess him and then make a decision.”
