Northampton Town's youth team shared the spoils in an entertaining game with Luton Town at Moulton College in the EFL Youth Alliance on Saturday.
In windy conditions, the Cobblers found themselves 2-0 down early, but responded well to lead 3-2. As the topsy turvy nature of the game continued, the Hatters took a 4-3 lead before a last gasp equaliser from Jacob Ballinger saw the points shared.
"We showed a lot of character but it was a day when defenders struggled," said coach Jon Brady.
"We found ourselves 2-0 down quite early on, came back to lead 3-2 and then scored with the last kick of the game through Jacob Ballinger to secure the draw. The attitude of the boys and the character they showed to come back was fantastic and that deserves praise."
The Cobblers goals came from Michael Harding, Caleb Chukwuemeka, Ethan Johnston and Ballinger.
