As the Cobblers busy run of fixtures continues, boss Keith Curle previews Tuesday night’s visit of Arsenal Under 21s in the Leasing.com Trophy.
Kick-off at the PTS Academy Stadium is 7.30pm with reduced priced tickets available from ntfcdirect.co.uk
“It’s a good opportunity for some of the younger players who have been on the fringes,” he said.
“Scott Wharton is still being assessed and we are currently awaiting the results of that scan. We are a bit low on numbers at the moment and we can’t risk another long-term injury.
“Steve Arnold is probably going to be out for six to seven weeks and that’s why we’ve brought in Andrew Fisher.
“We are still a work in progress but we need to work the ball better, be more creative in the final third and work the opposition goalkeeper more.
“Every game is an opportunity for us and Tuesday night will be no different. It’s a different type of challenge to what we might normally face but we will make sure we prepare in the right way.”
