The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Saturday

22 August 2019

Cobblers boss Keith Curle previews Saturday's trip to Colchester United.

“Tuesday’s result has given us a bit of a bounce but there are still areas where we need to improve,” he said.

“We don’t gloss over anything and sometimes it’s easier to look at the areas you need to improve after a win.

“It was a reaction the changing room needed, we’ve got good players in there but they needed to work harder and they got their rewards for their hard work on Tuesday.

“There is an honesty within the group and they knew I demanded more and they demanded more from each other.

“Hard work has to be a given and if you’ve got that as part of your DNA we will get favourable results more often than not.

“Colchester are dangerous as a football team because of the strike force they’ve got, they will be disappointed to have been pegged back in the week but they have got goals in the team. We need to respect that but they are also capable of conceding.”
