KEITH CURLE PROVIDES FITNESS UPDATE ON TRIO AS HE HINTS AT CARABAO CUP CHANGES

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie

Keith Curle has provided an injury update on Steve Arnold, Alan McCormack and Vadaine Oliver ahead of Tuesday night’s trip to Swansea City in the Carabao Cup.

The Cobblers boss also confirmed he would make changes for the tie at Swansea, with the squad now in a run of 12 games in 43 days.

“We’ve got a competitive squad and there will be opportunities for some players on Tuesday night,” he said.

“Steve Arnold is going for a scan later on Tuesday, we’ve allowed his injury to settle down for 48 hours and we will know more after we get the report back from his scan.

“Alan McCormack has had his scan and that has come back quite pleasing for us because it’s not as bad as we first thought. It is a re-injury though and with that you have to be mindful and that can put another week to ten days in terms of recovery time for him to be football fit, although the results of the scan will possibly save us a week on how long we thought he might be originally. However, when all is said and done, we won't rush him.

“Vadaine Oliver is back field based training and we just need to make sure he doesn’t have an adverse reaction to that.”
