Cobblers boss Keith Curle has a full strength squad to choose from ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Walsall at the PTS Academy Stadium.
“Everybody is geared now for the start of the season and the players we’ve signed are all in contention to play on Saturday,” he said.
“Everybody wants to be involved, everybody wants to play and that is really pleasing.
“I still think there will be movement in and out over the next few weeks, we’ve had some interest in the players we’ve made available but it’s not gone past a few phone calls yet.
“There is still scope for us to add to the squad and if a player is available that we believe will add value we will look at it. I think like a lot of lower division clubs we will be operating with a smaller squad this season but with that we still have the pathway for the younger players which is vitally important.
“We don’t want to hamper and hinder the progression of the young players, we’ve brought in some good competition but there is still that pathway for them.”
