Cobblers boss Keith Curle previews the season opener against Walsall and believes his team are ready.
“In my mind we’re ready,” he said.
“All the work we’ve done has been leading up to this week and I think this is an exciting time.
“In my mind I’ve got a decent idea of what to expect from Walsall, like ourselves they have quite a few new additions and I think they have recruited quite well over the summer.
“They will be competitive and they have got players that if you give them time and space will hurt you.
“The season is not won and lost in the first game of the season but every manager wants to get that first win as soon as possible and there is no better way to start the season than with a win at home.
“Everybody wants that first win and it can give the changing room that belief.”
