Cobblers boss Keith Curle previews Saturday’s home clash with Plymouth Argyle.
“We know that when we get this place rocking the supporters can be that twelfth man,” he said.
“Everybody gains a bit of momentum by winning games and Plymouth have had a good start to the season.
“I’m sure they will come here full of confidence, they play an expansive open game and they will be a threat.
“We know we are going through a bit of a transitional period at the moment but hard work and commitment have got to be the cornerstones of any success we might have.
“We are still working on the understanding of the group both in and out of possession and while you are in those early stages you need to make sure you nullify the opposition and don’t get picked off.
“Plymouth are a good side with good players but there are areas within their game where we think we can cause them problems and we need to make the most of the ball when we are in possession.”
