The Cobblers boss previews the Good Friday game

18 April 2019

Cobblers boss Keith Curle is expecting a tough test as he previews Good Friday’s visit of Macclesfield Town.

“Macclesfield are fighting for their lives and we have a duty to put in our best possible performance,” he said.

“We need to be professional, our approach towards the Mansfield game was very pleasing, there has been a good focus about the group and we gave a very good team a real test.

“Mentally we need to be right, Macclesfield like to press and they will be on the front foot.

“I’m sure Sol Campbell will be enjoying the challenges that he is facing, some of which he probably won’t have come up against in his professional career before but that’s management.

“They have got a good mentality about them and they will give everything they’ve got. They got a point at Lincoln recently and beat Exeter so that tells you all you need to know, it will be a tough afternoon.”
