Cobblers boss Keith Curle says the Northampton Town players will be more than prepared for the challenge of Saturday’s trip to Notts County.
“The players will be up for it,” he said.
“The preparation this week has had everything geared towards Saturday and the message on a daily basis to the players has been what is expected of them both individually and collectively.
“I want the players to be able to play with a freedom but you need to pick the right pass at the right time.
“There are fundamentals that you need to do in order to nullify the opposition.
“The horrible side of the game gets you rewards and that is something we didn’t do on Saturday.
“We didn’t work hard enough and if you don’t work hard you won’t get your rewards.”
