Northampton Town Football Club is recruiting for the position of Club Doctor.
We are seeking to appoint a qualified doctor with relevant sporting/football qualifications to join Northampton Town Football Club as the Club Doctor. The role includes matchday attendance for all first team home games at the PTS Academy Stadium, Northampton and also to offer medical support and advice as required in liaison with club medical staff.
The role outside of matches is not expected to impact too much on any existing commitments of running a practice. However, it would be preferred for the Doctor to visit the Club for a session once a week and provide referral letters for scans etc to enable quick access for urgent appointments.
The Club Doctor would also support the Academy by providing consultations to Academy players upon referral from the Club and assist with medical screening processes.
Remuneration is negotiable, subject the services the successful candidate is able to deliver.
Required Qualifications (FA and EFL Regulations)
Licence to practice by the GMC
Hold a Diploma in Sports Medicine or equivalent higher professional qualification
Continue a programme of CPD as determined from time to time by the profession
Hold a valid Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football (ATMMiF) qualification or equivalent or be enrolled on a course to have the qualification in time for July 2019.
