A look at some players who have played for both the Cobblers and Saturday's opponents

On Saturday afternoon, the Cobblers welcome Notts County to the PTS Academy Stadium. Jamie Duncan has been taking a look at some players who have appeared for both clubs.

Jamie Forrester
Forrester spent 3 years at the Cobblers between 2000 and 2003, making over 100 appearances for Northampton Town, scoring 39 goals across his three-year spell. He joined Notts County in 2008 and stayed for one year making 30 appearances, scoring 8 times.

Shaun Brisley (currently at Notts County)
Shaun Brisley joined the Cobblers during their 2015-16 promotion winning season on loan from Peterborough United. The centre back made 9 appearances for the club, scoring his solitary goal in a 3-2 win away at Wycombe Wanderers. Brisley currently plays for Notts County having joined them in 2017.

Daniel Jones (currently at Notts County)
Jones played for the Cobblers on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers during the 2007-08 season. A left back with an eye for goal he made 33 appearances for the Cobblers, split across two spells, chipping in with 3 goals. He joined Notts County for a short period in 2009 and he re-joined the club in the summer of 2017.

Jason Lee
Striker Lee joined Northampton from Boston United in January 2006. Lee was part of the Cobblers side that won promotion from League 2 in the 2005-06 season, making 11 appearances and scoring one goal which ironically came against Notts County. In June 2006 he joined Notts County where he stayed for two years making 69 appearances, scoring 16 goals.

Brendan Moloney
Moloney originally joined the Cobblers on loan in January 2015 from Yeovil Town before making the move permanent at the end of the season. He was part of the side who were crowned League 2 Champions in the 2015-16 season and went on to make over 100 appearances for the Cobblers before leaving at the end of last season. He played for Notts County in 2009-10 on loan from Nottingham Forest, he made 18 appearances scoring a solitary goal.
