Cobblers boss Dean Austin says he retains every belief in his squad as he prepares the players for Saturday’s home game against Notts County.
“The players are in determined mood,” he said.
“When you are not winning games it does dent confidence but I believe in this group and their ability to win games, at the moment it’s just more of a mental belief. If we simply weren’t good enough I would say so but it’s not that.
“This is bare knuckle stuff but I believe the players are up for the fight.
“We need to show that resilience and desire to win and the desire to keep the ball out of our net. The game is won in both boxes and we haven’t been good enough in either.
“I analyse and respect every opponent. Harry Kewell is someone I know well from my time at Watford and I know Saturday will be tough like every game but my focus is purely on my team and getting us going.”
