Winger Daniel Powell is closing in on a return to fitness ahead of Saturday's trip to Mansfield Town, although boss Dean Austin says this weekend's game may come too soon for him.
"I have one or two out injured at the moment," said the Cobblers manager.
"Daniel Powell is well on the road to recovery but Saturday might come too soon for him.
"Junior Morias is progressing ahead of schedule, he is chipping away at me at the moment telling me he is fine and can't feel his injury but it has only been four weeks and we will be really careful with him although the medical team say he is ahead of where they expected him to be.
"For those players who aren't in the team at the moment, my message is that if they aren't in the team it is because they aren't doing enough to force their way in, it is as simple as that. People always have players they want to see in the team but if they are not in the team when we aren't winning it is because those players aren't currently doing enough.
"It is not just about a Saturday, it is about a Monday to Friday and they have to be on it every day, showing the same passion and desire to get better and do better that I do. If they do that, they will play, it is as simple as that."
