Cobblers boss Dean Austin says he feels the frustration of the supporters at the moment, and he is desperate to turn results to reward them for their backing.
"The supporters have been fantastic and very patient," he said when asked about the backing he has received.
"For me, the support I have been given not only by the fans, but by the people in and around the football club has been fantastic and I am very honoured to be the manager. I am also frustrated with how results have gone and so I know how everyone else must feel too. When you are a supporter, you take the club with you 24/7, it is what you live for and you feel the highs and the lows and it has been frustrating so far. We are desperate to put some smiles on faces."
The Cobblers travel to Mansfield Town on Saturday, and Austin says he is expecting a tough game.
"Mansfield are a decent side, they are very ambitious with a big budget and like ourselves they feel they want to be higher," he said.
"I have watched some of their games, they have created chances, they have opened teams up but haven't really made the most of those chances, a bit like us, and I think it will be a good game on Saturday."
