Cobblers boss Keith Curle praised the travelling supporters as he reflected on Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Swindon Town.
“Two games and two draws I think we can be fairly pleased with the last five days,” he said.
“I’m still getting to know the players individually and collectively but already I’m enjoying working with them. There general response has been excellent, they have been very attentive and they have taken everything on board.
“Leon Barnett and Ash Taylor were both unavailable today but all the players who came in did well. I thought we were solid, robust and up for the challenge.
“We nullified Swindon for the most part and our decision making with the ball and our final delivery will improve with confidence and understanding.
“The fans were magnificent and at the end of the game I made sure all of the players went over to them. Their support is massive for us and although they didn’t see a win hopefully they go home pleased with seeing a very committed performance.”
