KEITH CURLE - 'PERFORMANCES ARE IMPROVING'

Keith Curle said he felt his side's performances are improving as he reflected on Saturday’s narrow defeat at MK Dons, Kieran Agard’s deflected close range strike just before half-time proving decisive.

“I’m frustrated but there are positives we can take,” he said.

“I thought we showed MK Dons a little bit too much respect in the first half but you have to give them credit as well.

“We showed in the second half that we can upset teams and I thought we deserved a goal for our effort and endeavour. We flooded the box and got into some good areas but lacked a little bit of quality, it is in there but we have to bring it out.

“The supporters were phenomenal again today and they can be very proud of the effort, desire and commitment of the team.

“Performances are improving, we are still getting an understanding throughout the squad but that will come. We are trying to get a philosophy and a mindset throughout the squad and as I said in the week the response I’ve had from the players has been excellent.”
