Keith Curle said he felt the emotion and the passion of Saturday’s late winner and praised the side’s new found resilience.
The late, late winner from Andy Williams against Forest Green Rovers sparked scenes of wild celebration at the PTS Academy Stadium and the Cobblers boss said he could understand that.
“I’m not going to encourage or condone people coming on to the pitch at all but it was fantastic to be part of the celebrations on Saturday,” he said.
“I totally understand the emotions from the supporters given how long this club has struggled for and the players really appreciate and value that as well.
“We won back to back games last week having been behind at half time in both games. Resilience is important and that is one of the pillars you want to put in place.
“The response from the players when we have had a setback has been positive and that’s what you want.”
