Keith Curle has been happy with the response he’s had from the players in the limited number of training sessions he’s had so far but also says it is vitally important the Cobblers build on the start they have made.
“We still haven’t had many training sessions together because the games have kept coming but the group has been very responsive,” he said.
“They are willing to listen and they have been very open minded to everything Colin (West) and I have tried to implement.
“We are still working on the fundamentals and there is still more to come from this group.
“Each player has roles and responsibilities and once we have nailed down the fundamentals we can look at more ways in which we can improve to pose more of a threat to teams.
“There are good players and good characters in the changing room and Saturday was a good result but the players know the importance of building on it.”
