KEITH CURLE RELISHING LOCAL CLASH ON SATURDAY

The Cobblers boss on Saturday's game at Milton Keynes

18 October 2018

Northampton Town manager Keith Curle says he is looking forward to Saturday’s trip to MK Dons.

“Local games are fantastic,” he said.

“League position counts for nothing and the last game counts for nothing, it’s about managing your emotions on the day and playing the game not the occasion.

“We won’t change our philosophy and the way we approach the game but we are looking forward to the challenge.

“Paul Tisdale has got a very good understanding of this division, he’s very calm in his approach and he is someone I have got a lot of time for on and off the pitch. He wants to win games of football but so do I.

“They will have a certain style and it’s up to us to go there and try and interrupt that and implementing our own ways of trying to cause them some problems.

“We may look at changes to the team, as one door closes another one opens.

“I haven’t seen everybody in the group yet and Saturday is another opportunity for players to make a claim for the shirt.”
