NORTHAMPTON TOWN ACADEMY - ITALIAN DIARY, FINAL PART

The end of a successful trip, as the boys prepare to head home

25 October 2018

The Northampton Town Academy under 15s and 16s have been spending the half term week in Italy, taking part in a tournament involving the Cobblers, AFC Bournemouth, Luton Town, Rimini, Savignanse, Haverhill and Cesena. Here is our third and final update from the trip:

After spending Thursday morning getting to see more of Cattolica, the boys had lunch and then it was time for their final games. The U15s ended the tournament on a high with a 4-0 victory in their final game against Haverhill Borough. This was a positive performance from the young lads to end the tour. However the U16s as they went down 2-0 to a very good Luton side to finish 4th in their tournament.

There were lots of positives to take from what has been the first tour away for these boys and there is lots of learning that has taken place. After their final games, the boys headed into the sea for a spot of fun recovery and were set a task of presenting back in groups of four what they have taken away from the tour before they they face a nice and early 4am start on Friday for the journey home.

Well done to all the lads on the tour, all the players have represented the club very well and a huge thank you to all of the players, parents and staff who have made this trip possible.
