22 November 2018

Congratulations to Woodland View Primary School (Spain) who beat Millwall Primary School (Switzerland) in the final of the Cobblers Schools World Cup, sponsored by PTS Training & Development, on Thursday.

Back in September, 16 schools set out on the path of glory, Uruguay (Briar Hill Primary School), Portugal (Collingtree Primary School), Spain (Woodland View Primary School), Russia (Beanfield Primary School, France (Grange Primary School), Argentina (Walgrave Primary School), Croatia (Earl Spencer Primary School), Denmark (St James Primary School), Brazil (Abington Vale Primary School), Mexico (Towcester Primary School), Sweden (Hardingstone Primary School), Switzerland (Millway Primary School), Belgium (Weedon Bec Primary School), Japan (Kingsthorpe Grove Primary School), Colombia (Barry Road Primary School) and England (Caroline Chisholm Primary School), culminating in Spain (Woodland View Primary School) beating Switzerland (Millway Primary School) in the final on Thursday afternoon.

The pupils have been learning all about their allocated country, creating a project incorporating their country’s culture, religion, history, language and currency.

Each child and teacher taking part has received a complimentary ticket to sit in the Mick George Family Area and cheer the Cobblers on for a selected Sky Bet League 2 fixture.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part, thank you to PTS Training & Development for their sponsorship and well done to all of the schools for producing some fantastic football!
