Northampton Town suffered only their second league defeat in ten games under new manager Keith Curle at Newport on Tuesday night, and the Cobblers boss said that game highlighted to him where improvements need to be made.
The only games the Cobblers have lost under Curle have been away from home to teams in the top four, but Curle said Tuesday night showed that improvements are needed in all areas.
“You could see on Tuesday night at Newport that technically, tactically, physically and mentally there is still improvement to be made," he said.
“Our mindset now needs to be realising where we are, we have made improvements but it’s clear we are lacking in certain areas.
“There is room for manoeuvre and I’ll sort it out
“There are things that I am looking to change with certain individuals and I’m still finding out if they are able to do that.
"If they are then great, if not then we can look at things in January and moving forwards."
