Cobblers boss Keith Curle is expecting a very difficult test as Northampton Town travel to high flying Newport County on Tuesday night.
“Newport are a very competitive team,” he said.
“They have fluctuated between different formations and the manager has mentioned in the media that he wasn’t particularly happy with his initial team selection on Saturday.
“He was happier with how the team finished the game and he said in hindsight with the players he had available he might have gone with a different formation.
“I’m still tinkering and experimenting to a certain degree in giving the players different roles and responsibilities. I’m still setting challenges for the players and determining in my mind exactly what we have in the changing room here."
