KEITH CURLE LOOKING FORWARD TO HOME ATMOSPHERE ON SATURDAY

Cobblers boss Keith Curle is looking forward to playing back at home when Grimsby Town visit the PTS Academy Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick off).

“We always look at the opposition but a lot of the focus is on ourselves,” he said.

“Grimsby’s form has come in fits and starts and the biggest problem they’ve had is inconsistency. They have had some good results against good teams but they have also lost a few games here and there. I think that is indicative of this league but on their day they can certainly be a threat.

“We are wary of the threat they can pose but we think we can cause them problems.

“We showed a lot of resilience at Exeter and that is something we are trying to enhance within the group. The players have shown good endeavour and we want to get absolutely everything possible out of them from minute one to the final whistle.

“It’s a learning environment and we are still ironing a few things out. We are still identifying our own strengths and weaknesses.

“I spoke after the game at Exeter about us needing to have an aggressive demeanour and that is vitally important. You can be aggressive without necessarily flying in for challenges but you need to be competitive.

“I’m looking forward to being back at the PTS Academy Stadium and savouring the atmosphere we’ve created here with some good results in the last few games. The unity between the team and the supporters is important and you want to see fans off their seats at the end.”
