KEITH CURLE LOOKING TO BUILD ON RECENT MOMENTUM

The Cobblers boss looks ahead to Saturday's trip to Exeter City

Cobblers boss Keith Curle is looking for his side to build on their recent momentum as previews Saturday’s trip to Exeter.

“We are looking forward to being back in league action,” he said.

“Exeter made a very good start to the season but similar to ourselves they have picked up a few injuries that have just disrupted them a little bit.

“They will be looking for a kick-start again and for us it’s back to league action and we need to maintain the momentum that we’ve gained in recent weeks.

“There were some pleasing aspects to our performance on Saturday but there are bits and pieces where we need to improve. We are still a work in progress and there is a lot of collective work that needs to be done.

“We didn’t have enough quality in the final third last Saturday and we need to put more balls into the right areas.

“Every training session we are still laying down foundations and there are aspects of the players game that still aren’t quite yet second nature.

“Last week was a good opportunity to get some more game time into the players without points being up for grabs but ultimately my remit when I came into the football club was to get the team up the table. That hasn’t changed and remains our main focus.”
