Keith Curle says he can see a culture developing as he reflected on Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over Fulham Under 21s in the Checkatrade Trophy, first half goals from Aaron Pierre and Sam Hoskins enough to send the Cobblers through to the second round.
“We set the tone in the first half,” he said.
“It was a professional performance, we are creating a winning environment and we are setting our standards.
“The work ethic and the DNA of what we are trying to create is spreading through the changing room, it is a culture. It’s not about individuals it’s about an understanding of how as a team we want to play.
“The young players who came in did exceptionally well, they handled the situation and I have to say a massive well done to the academy.
“Aaron Pierre came off at half-time, his back was tightening up a little bit but we brought him off as more of a precaution.”
