Dean Austin says that developing the exciting crop of youngsters emerging from the Northampton Town Academy will be one of his top priorities as Northampton Town manager.
“I love developing young players, I believe in young players and if they are good enough then they will get an opportunity," he said.
“We are fortunate that in Sean Whaler and Morgan Roberts (pictured making his debut against Oldham Athletic) we have got a couple that are there or thereabouts already, they have both done really well and if they both continue to improve and focus on their jobs then they can have an impact.
“With those two coming through it shows the batch of players underneath, who are also very good, that there are opportunities here if you conduct yourself in the right way and you are good enough.
“We want players here to have that opportunity and if they work hard and they are good enough then they will get that.”
