Northampton Town Chief Executive James Whiting has expressed his delight at the strength of season ticket sales ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The early bird deadline for claiming a discounted season ticket passed on Saturday with more than 2,500 season tickets already sold, a figure that is very pleasing for the Cobblers CEO.
“We have had a fantastic response to season ticket sales,” he said.
“Not only have we sold more season tickets already by this stage than we did for the entire season the last time we were in League 2, but we have also seen more than 250 new season tickets sold to supporters becoming a season ticket holder for the first time, and that is really encouraging.
“We believe that shows the confidence the supporters have in the club and our determination to enjoy the best season we possibly can. It's also a tribute to the work we do to attract new supporters, with thousands taking part in special matchday experiences and enjoying schemes such as the Mick George family area and the GameZone.
“We are very grateful to everyone who has purchased a season ticket, be they a first time season ticket holder or a supporter renewing to continue their support.”
Season tickets remain on sale from Sixfields and ntfcdirect.co.uk. There is also the option to spread the cost of a season ticket through Zebra Finance. Under 7 season tickets are free with under 12s season tickets from around £3 per game and under 18s from £5 per game. Supporters are also encouraged to renew by June 30th in order to keep their original season ticket seat from the 2017/18 campaign.
