Northampton Town manager Dean Austin says he is in no rush to appoint a new assistant manager to his backroom team.
“I’ve spoken to one or two people already but I’m going to take my time," he said.
“I’ve got some ideas but I won’t be making a decision until I get back off holiday.
“It will be someone that I know and someone that shares the same philosophy and methodology.
"Jon Brady has been brilliant, primarily he is going to go back to coaching the under 18s but I have something a little bit more specific in mind for him as well. I want the academy to be integrated with the first team and I want to bring the whole thing a bit closer and a bit tighter.
“Andy Melville will go back to the scouting side but we will be working very closely together. He will be around when I need him and he will be at the training ground a couple of days a week.
“When you want to play in a certain way and in a certain style I think it’s important your head of recruitment sees that and knows the kind of qualities and characteristics you want in your players.”
