Northampton Town's youth team travelled to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday for their latest EFL Youth Alliance Merit Division fixture.
Morgan Roberts put the Cobblers in front but a very late Dagenham equaliser saw the game end 1-1.
"We totally dominated the game but at 1-0 you are never over the line and Dagenham equalised with the very last kick of the game," said coach Jon Brady.
"We missed a penalty, had 18 shots on goal and if we had taken our chances we would have killed the game off. To concede so late on like that is a bit of a kick in the teeth but overall it was a very positive performance from the boys away from home."
