Northampton Town have signed striker Kevin Luckassen on a contract until the end of the season.
The 24 year old, 6ft 1in striker began his career with AZ Alkmaar before moving to Scotland and signing for Ross County.
His next club was Czech side Slovan Liberec where he scored seven goals in 9 starts and three substitute appearances before a move to Austrian side St Polten where he netted four times in 12 starts and eleven substitute appearances.
"Kevin has been training with us for a couple of weeks and has settled in well," said manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
"I felt that with the injury to Kevin van Veen and when Boris Mathis was ill, we were a little short of options up front and so Kevin has come in to help with that.
"He is an option for us, he is big and powerful and he will offer us something different."
This signing is subject to international clearance.
