Cobblers assistant previews Saturday's game at Bloomfield Road

1 March 2018

Cobblers assistant Dean Austin says he is expecting a tough test as he previews Saturday's trip to Blackpool.

“Blackpool have had some good results recently and make no bones about it Saturday will be a very tough game but we believe that we have enough quality in the group to get a positive result,” he said.

“We are out of the bottom four right now and our only focus is on the next game.

“From our point of view we look at one game at a time and just trying to win the next game. Every game in this league gives you a different set of challenges and Blackpool is no different.

“You always have to take positives out of a performance and it was good to get a clean sheet last Saturday but on the offensive side it just wasn’t quite dropping for us in front of goal. We probably created more chances than in any other game since the turn of the year.

“We are working very hard, the players were extremely disappointed to come off with a 0-0 last weekend and I think that is testament to them and to how hard they are working and how much they want to win.”
