Are you aware of the signs of failing eyesight?

When a loved one or a friend is beginning to lose their sight, they might not always want to tell you. NAB's Jenny Richardson (pictured), with her twenty years' experience, outlines some of the signs to look out for so you can help ease the problems it causes....

Difficulty identifying faces or objects
Difficulty reading / writing
Needing extra light / or avoiding bright light
Slower, or more hesitant in getting about
Losing things
Difficulty eating their food ( reluctance to eat with others)
Asking for help in reading mail, tv guide etc
Difficulty dealing with money
Difficulty managing medicines
Giving up on things they enjoy doing
