Northampton Town manager Dean Austin has been delighted with the work his players have undertaken at their Spanish training camp so far.
The Cobblers have been based at Lomas de Campoamor since Saturday, and Austin says the squad are being pushed to new levels.
"It has been really good and really beneficial so far," he said.
"It has been a good gelling period for us.
"It is very important to enjoy what you are doing. Every session we do is enjoyable but with a purpose and a link to how I want us to play. In the last few games of last season I felt we did quite well and how we went about it and how we conducted ourselves was good. I want to grow what we did at the end of last season and take it on and improve further into this season.
"It is important to try and get some early momentum and that is what we are aiming for. We will have to be tough, resiliant and also be able to play the game we want to play as well. We have to express ourselves, entertain supporters and enjoy it.
"It has been very hard for the players out here, very tough and we have probably taken the players to levels they might not have reached before but they know why they are doing it. That all revolves around our game and the way we want to play and I think that makes it much easier for players to understand."
