Northampton Town's pre-season fixture at Chelmsford City on Wednesday has been called off.
The home club have advised us that the current hot and dry weather has left their pitch in an unplayable condition and so the game has been cancelled.
The Cobblers are in action at Brackley Town on Tuesday evening before the squad depart for a week long training camp in Spain on Saturday.
