The Cobblers boss looks back on Saturday's game

3 February 2018

Cobblers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was disappointed as he reflected on Saturday’s home defeat to Rochdale.

“Rochdale were better than us today and they deserved the three points,” he said.

“We were really flat and we were poor with and without the ball. Rochdale played us off the park today and that is worrying.

“Losing Shay Facey in the first half was a blow, we think it’s his hamstring but we will have to wait and see how severe that is. Brendan Moloney would have been on the bench but he had a problem with his knee on Friday and he didn’t think he would be able to come on early in the game if someone got injured.

“Today is a step back and we need to show a reaction now in the next match.

“Our last four performances were a total contrast to this one and we have to make sure this was a one off.”
