Northampton Town's youth team travelled to take on Peterborough United in the EFL Youth Alliance on Saturday.
The Cobblers won their last game before Christmas 2-1, Jacob Ballinger (pictured) and Jack Daldy (from the penalty spot) with the goals.
"I think there was a bit of a hangover from the Arsenal game in the first half and Bradley Lashley made several great saves to keep us in the game," said under 18s coach Jon Brady.
"We were back to ourselves in the second half, we were a lot sharper and we moved the ball quicker. The boys showed good character again but we have Bradley to thank for keeping us in it."
