Northampton Town's youth team beat MK Dons 3-1 at Moulton College in a re-arranged EFL Youth Alliance fixture on Tuesday.
The Cobblers goals came from Scott Pollock (penalty), Camron McWilliams and an own goal.
"It was another really strong performance," said coach Jon Brady.
"We played with a good shape and the second goal, scored by Cam McWilliams, was an excellent team goal.
"We defended well when we had to and it was another good result ahead of an 8 day break leading in to the Arsenal game next week."
The result means that the Cobblers need two points from their final three games to win the EFL Youth Alliance South East Division.
