Cobblers boss Keith Curle praised the Cobblers supporters as he reflected on Saturday’s 2-2 draw with promotion chasing MK Dons, his side having come from 2-0 down with goals from Andy Williams and substitute Junior Morias securing a point.
“We had fantastic support and we needed their belief and energy today,” he said.
“The support is here for this football team and the reaction of the crowd shows the unity and the bond that is building between the team and the supporters.
“We didn’t do the simple things well today and I’ve spoken before about the need to get the basics right.
“We had opportunities to play but we didn’t utilise the spare man in midfield.
“Our passing was off today and we didn’t move the ball quickly enough from the back.
“We are still working on the fundamental things you need but what we are doing we need to do better.”
