KEITH CURLE SAYS COBBLERS WILL TRAVEL TO CAMBRIDGE LOOKING TO PROGRESS IN CHECKATRADE TROPHY

The Cobblers boss speaking ahead of Tuesday night's tie

4 December 2018

Cobblers boss Keith Curle knows a number of the Cambridge United side and is expecting a tough test in Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy second round tie at Cambridge United.

“They are another team that has played in fits and starts this season,” he said.

“They can cause anybody problems but a lack of consistency has lead to the manager losing his job.

“David Amoo, Reggie Lambe and Jabo Ibehre are three players who I worked with at Carlisle and they did a very good job for me.

“We’ve got a strong squad and we will go with our best team. There are players coming back and we have got four or five itching to be involved.

“Matt Crooks is back out training and on the grass and we just need to make sure we get the time right with him, whether that is for Tuesday night or not we will have to make a decision.”
