Cobblers boss Keith Curle felt it was important for the players to switch off for a couple of days with the busy Christmas schedule looming.
“It has been a busy few weeks and it has been good to shut the players down for a couple of days,” he said.
“Players need time to switch off as well and now we are building up to the busy Christmas period.
“We had a big meeting with the players on Thursday last week to look to give an overview of the last ten league games. We identified all the areas where we still think we can improve and we gave each player individual information as well about what they are doing well and where they can improve too.
“The players left the meeting with a positive outlook but the aim now is to try and improve again over the next ten games.”
