Cobblers boss Keith Curle is looking for a successful festive period as he previews Saturday’s trip to Yeovil Town.
“Every game is an opportunity to earn points and maintain momentum,” he said.
“We always respect the opposition and the team set up is based on nullifying their threats and exploiting any perceived weaknesses. League position can change very quickly and you can’t always judge a team by that and we know to expect a very tough game at Yeovil.
“Our home form is very important and although we couldn’t quite get the win last Saturday we gained a point on the top seven and its another game undefeated.
“We want to be robust and entertaining but at the same time we want to be results driven and make sure we are difficult to beat.
“When we get teams on the back foot we can play entertaining football and score goals but its still baby steps and we are still evolving.
“We are going in the right direction but there is still work to do.
“The support we’ve had at home and away has been fantastic and the response I’ve had from the fans since day one has been excellent.
“The foundations are definitely in place and we want to get this football club back on the front foot. We are moving in the right direction."
