The Northampton Town Girls Under 13 team have enjoyed a good first half of the season.
We caught up with captain Ruby Heselden for a look back on the first half of the 2018/19 campaign.
"I think that this season has gone quite well so far," she said.
"It has not been quite as successful as our previous seasons but that was to be expected as the other teams in the league are improving and becoming much harder to beat and that includes us too.
"I think we are becoming much stronger as a team and improving individually as well. It was a tough start to the season and we lost to Rushden Diamonds early in the season. I think this loss motivated us to work harder in both training and matches. I think that what we are learning in training is now being put into matches including our work on corners. We have been winning since then and even scoring from corners regularly.
"If we carry on working hard and improving we will definitely have a good chance of retaining the league title and winning a cup."
Many thanks Ruby and congratulations to you and the rest of the team. Good luck for the rest of the season!
