SQUAD SPREAD SOME FESTIVE CHEER

Players make Christmas visits to meet local children

13 December 2018

The Northampton Town squad have been out and about spreading some festive cheer ahead of Christmas.

On Thursday afternoon the squad split in to three parts, some of the squad visited the Children's Wards at Northampton General Hospital, while some other players headed to The Cube Disability who are big supporters of the club's disability football programme to hand out gifts to their users.

Finally, other members of the squad visited Kingsmeadow School in Moulton, a school our Community Trust work closely with, to spend time with the pupils and staff.

Kingsmeadow School is where the Northampton Town Community Trust delivers sport activities on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons and is a school for pupils with behaviour and emotional needs. The school is mostly boys with a handful of girl students.

The Trust delivers a different sport each half term throughout the year.

The pupils really enjoy learning the skills of various sports and are well supported during the lessons by the school's staff.

Our thanks are due to Smyths Toys Superstore Northampton, Tesco & Morrisons for their help with these visits.

Thank you to all of the children and staff who welcomed us, Merry Christmas!
