Cobblers boss Dean Austin reflecting on Tuesday night’s 1-0 defeat away at Morecambe.
“We were too easy to play against, in the first half especially,” he said.
“One thing I never like to say about my team is that we have been outworked and outfought and for 55/60 minutes tonight we were. A pre-requisite of any game is to turn up and compete.
“The goal we gave away was really poor, we should have come in at half-time 0-0 but we didn’t and we then gave ourselves a mountain to climb again.
“I don’t know what it is at the minute but we have got to stick together as a group and snap out of it quickly. Only we can turn things around and we need to re-group and go again at Colchester.
“We” all believe in what we are doing, we haven’t been on our game tonight but I’m not going to panic.”
